Malaika House

Introducing Malaika House: Empowering Children with Autism

Malaika House was founded with a simple but powerful vision: to create a supportive, nurturing environment where autistic children and young people, particularly those with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) / Extreme Demand Avoidance (EDA), can learn, grow, and thrive.

We understand that traditional educational settings do not always meet the needs of every child. At Malaika House, we offer an alternative approach that focuses on understanding, flexibility, connection, and individual growth.

Every Child Deserves to Flourish

No two children are the same, and neither are their educational journeys.

At Malaika House, we recognise and celebrate each child's unique strengths, interests, challenges, and goals. Our aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment where students feel understood, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.

We work closely with families to create personalised learning experiences that support both academic development and emotional wellbeing.

Growing With Our Students

Malaika House currently supports students aged 10–18 years, covering Grades 4–12.

As we continue to grow, our vision includes expanding our services to support:

  • Students with intellectual disabilities
  • Learners requiring higher levels of individual support
  • Young people who benefit from specialised educational pathways

Our growth is intentional and carefully planned to ensure that every student continues to receive the personalised support they deserve.

More Than a School

The word "House" is central to who we are.

Our goal is to create a welcoming, family-like environment where students feel safe, accepted, and connected. We believe that meaningful learning happens when children feel a sense of belonging and when parents and educators work together as a team.

By building strong relationships with families, we are able to better understand each student's needs and provide support that is both meaningful and effective.
