Designed to provide calming sensory input, our weighted lap pads use deep pressure stimulation to help promote focus, relaxation, and self-regulation. Deep pressure is a firm, evenly distributed tactile input that provides proprioceptive feedback to the body, similar to the comforting sensation of a hug or gentle compression.

My son loves it
This is my first weighted product and I have to admit it has been amazing so far, I use it to help me sleep by laying it along my side. I haven't found that it makes me feel overly warm as normal blanket would. The stitching is neatly done but still very sturdy, with excellent craftsmanship. The fabric is not fluffy, it's more a smooth material, like thick school shirt material.
